WASHINGTON – Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) designated two senior Nicaraguan government officials, Julio Cesar Aviles Castillo and Ivan Adolfo Acosta Montalvan for supporting the corrupt Ortega regime. Since April 2018, the Ortega regime has cracked down on political opposition, leading to more than 300 deaths, 2,000 injuries, hundreds of political and civil society actors imprisoned, and over 100,000 refugees fleeing the country.

The Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) announced the impending addition of the People’s Republic of China’s Ministry of Public Security’s Institute of Forensic Science and eight Chinese companies to the Entity List, which will result in these parties facing new restrictions on access to U.S. technology. These nine parties are complicit in human rights violations and abuses committed in China’s campaign of repression, mass arbitrary detention, forced labor and high-technology surveillance against Uighurs, ethnic Kazakhs, and other members of Muslim minority groups in the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region (XUAR). This action will supplement BIS’s first tranche of Entity List designations in October 2019 involving 28 parties engaged in the XUAR repression campaign in Xinjiang.

Esta es la denuncia por la que la jefe de Asuntos Internos de la Alcaldía de Bogotá terminó suspendida. Habla una contratista de los hijueputazos y maltratos que recibió.
Una lista de groserías, maltratos y abusos es hoy la prueba de una contratista contra la jefe de Asuntos Disciplinarios de la Alcaldía, Matilde Nieto. Desde agosto de 2019 cuando logró vincularse con la Secretaría de Gobierno de Claudia López, la contratista vio la oportunidad de su vida. Sin embargo, sus expectativas pronto se convirtieron en el tedio del maltrato laboral al que la sometía su supervisora. La situación empeoró con la cuarentena obligatoria, tiempo durante el cual fue obligada a ir a trabajar a pesar del riesgo de contagio.
A través de esta carta, dirigida al secretario de Gobierno Luis Ernesto Gómez, la contratista narró los aparentes maltratos de Matilde Nieto. "A mí no me importa si sus hijitos malpariditos se enferman", denuncia ella que fueron las palabras de su supervisora por el miedo de contagiar a su familia. Esta es la denuncia completa por la que el procurador Fernando Carrillo abrió investigación y suspendió por tres meses a Nieto:
