WASHINGTON – U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin met with Prime Minister of Sudan Abdalla Hamdok on December 3, 2019. Secretary Mnuchin welcomed the civilian-led transitional government’s stated commitment to respecting human rights, fighting corruption, and reforming Sudan’s economy. Their discussion focused on Sudan’s economic reform agenda and the importance of demonstrating a high-level commitment to combatting money laundering and terrorism financing.
